The course is intended to fourth semester students and aims at developing basic statistics skills. It is based on a two hours per week tutorial plus three hours per week laboratory and problem-solving sessions.

 

There are 10 laboratory sessions covering the above mentioned material.

1. Introduction to Statistics.

2. Probability

3. Bayes

4. Distributions

5. The Normal distribution

6. Statistical Tests I: One-sample t-test

7. Statistical Tests ΙΙ: Independent samples t-test

8. Statistical Tests IΙΙ: Paired samples t-test

9. Statistical Tests IV: One-Way ANOVA

10. Linear Regression

 

Final grading is based only on the final examination. On top of this, therre is an optional homework grade, for those obtain grade >= 5 at the written exams.
